Tom's
Furniture.net will consult with you prior to starting the
refinishing work. You will be asked about what color stain you want,
what type of finish and what other features you may wish to enhance.
You may also be advised on what may not work well or what may be best
due to condition of the piece. You may have an antique that should not
be refinished, or have a piece that is so broken or damaged that it
would be best not to fix it.
In short, you will be given options to consider before any work is started.

| Salvaged Sled
This antique sled was rusted
all over and the finish was gone.
The metal runners and framing were
hit with wire brushes on drill motors and a grinding wheel went
over some of the tougher spots. Rust Oleam gloss paint was used
for the metal and a brush on gloss urethane finish was used to
protect and seal the wood. The lithograph was not touched and was
saved. Three coats of gloss made a durable finish. This sled is
now usable and beautiful again.

Mahogany
Bedroom set
 |
The Color
really "popped" when this set was re-done.
The High Chest is
impressive and the chest and mirror combo is elegant.
Ribbon Mahogany rarely
disappoints. |
